Bose announces release of new SoundLink Mini II Bluetooth speaker
“Wireless is everywhere, but better wireless – better sounding, better designed, easier to use – that’s where we’re always focused.” said Jack Yu, product manager for Bose SoundLink speakers, as he introduced the new SoundLink Mini II.
The SoundLink Mini II gains a built-in speakerphone so you can take calls with just a touch of a button, and hear every word from your caller in absolute clarity. When you’re done talking, the music will resume automatically so you don’t even have to do anything to get back into your groove.
New voice prompts walk you through the process of pairing Bluetooth devices, with up to two Bluetooth devices able to be connected at the same time. The SoundLink Mini II also stores up to eight of the most recently paired devices in memory, greatly speeding up the pairing process.
With an improved rechargeable lithium-ion battery that lasts for up to 10 hours, and the ability to charge from USB power sources, the SoundLink Mini II certainly is more ready to go where you go, when you want to. It shares the same footprint and size as the original – weighing 1.5 pounds and measuring 5.1x18.0x5.8cm – but gains a slight update in the beveled accent and a micro-perforated steel grill.
At the heart of it all are the same proprietary dual-opposing passive radiators with two custom-designed high-efficiency transducers for full, clear audio with dramatically deep low notes. Bose digital signal processing optimizes the sound for any listening level so you get the same sound regardless of the environment.
The SoundLink Mini II is available now from all authorized Bose resellers for S$329 in Carbon or Pearl, with soft covers in Deep Red, Energy Green, Navy Blue, Charcoal Black, and Gray, sold separately for S$39.
