If you've been waiting for a new BlackBerry device to be announced, your patience has paid off as the company has plans to discuss new smartphones sometime next week.

According to CrackBerry, BlackBerry CEO John Chen revealed that Ralph Pini, the Chief Operating Officer and General Manager for Devices, will be heading the conversations next week.

"People always ask me about handsets, but we do a lot more than handsets." "We are becoming a strong professional services provider," said Chen. "We believe everything we do is going to be important to the industry." noting the handset business is doing fine, but this is the last time he was going to talk about it during the Summit.

BlackBerry is likely to share more details on two handsets which are codenamed Neon and Argon. The Neon is said to be released this quarter while the Argon will be launched in October.
