Bellabeat Aims to Help Expectant Mothers Track Their Pregnancy
We have wearables and accessories that help to track the amount of steps you take, calories burned and even the quality of sleep. But how about expectant mothers looking to keep tabs on their pregnancy?
Bellabeat is a startup that's looking to help mothers-to-be with that task. The Bellabeat tracking system consists of an ultrasound digital tracker and an app (iOS and Android), and allows expecting parents to listen to their unborn child's heartbeat. The app also has a fetal movement counter, illustrations of fetal development and can also track pregnancy weight gain and nutrition. There's also a social aspect to the app; users can interact with a global community of expecting parents and share milestones as well as experiences. Besides providing real-time data on expectant mothers' pregnancies, Bellabeat also aims to cut down on visits to the doctor as parents can now check the mother's weight gain as well as their child's heartbeat without needing to have an appointment with a doctor.
And since the device uses less than 10% of the acoustic power of the sonograph, the baby will not feel or hear anything when you're using the device. All this can be done in the comfort of your home, so if you like what you hear, check out Bellabeat at the link below.
