Belkin Launches Range of High-Performance Wireless Routers

Connect More Devices in Multiple Locations

Exclusive Technology Delivers Faster Speed and Fuller Coverage for PCs, Tablets, Smartphones, TVs, and Gaming Consoles

SINGAPORE - Do more across multiple devices and locations, with Belkin’s new line of wireless routers. Belkin, the global leader in connectivity solutions has announced its latest range of sleek and powerful range of wireless routers – Belkin N150, N300, N600 Dual-Band and N750 Dual-band (DB).

“As people add more connected devices to their home network and as the demand for streaming high-definition movies, downloading music, playing games, and sending emails continues to increase, a router that can manage these connections is essential to unlock the true potential of your electronic family,” stated Mr Phillip Trapaga, Country Manager – ASEAN. “Belkin’s latest routers are designed to give you the strongest Internet signal at the furthest distance in your home so your devices work where you live, not where your router lives.”

Engineered with MultiBeam technology for maximum speed and coverage, the new routers showcase Belkin’s dedication to strong and inspired high-performance networking solutions that support the proliferation of wireless devices, from smartphones and tablets to Internet TVs and gaming consoles, throughout the home. This exclusive technology that provides greater throughput at greater distances, translates to higher data rates, faster speeds, and stronger wireless signals that minimize dead spots and enable users to connect multiple devices in more places. The Belkin N600 DB and N750 DB routers also feature dual-band channels to eliminate interference and optimize performance for bandwidth-intensive applications such as high-definition video streaming.

The new router chassis was also specifically designed to support these latest MultiBeam antennas and maximize the MIMO sphere and absolute coverage distance. While traditional routers tend to provide a donut-shaped coverage pattern – flat and wide – the new Belkin routers come in an apple-like shape to provide more coverage in all directions, which ensures more power and speed for all online activities

Each router features Belkin’s Easy Setup, a simple process for getting the router out of the box and online in three easy steps, and pre-configured encryption settings for built-in wireless security.

In an independent testing conducted by The Tolly Group, a leading IT testing organization, results showed that Belkin's N150, N300, and N600 DB together averaged a 68 percent performance improvement across all tested products, while the flagship N750 DB tested concurrent Wi-Fi and WAN speeds of up to 900Mbps.

The N150, N300, and N600 DB routers were tested for speed at distance and test results showed that Belkin routers have a significant advantage at maintaining higher network speeds over greater distances in the home. Competitors' routers began to lose signal strength more rapidly after 30 feet, but Belkin routers across the board maintained higher speeds even at distances greater than 60 feet which, in a home environment, means you get better Wi-Fi coverage even multiple rooms away from the router's location.

For the flagship N750 DB router, The Tolly Group focused on processing power and the ability to maintain network performance while running multiple high-bandwidth applications. A test using simultaneous bidirectional throughput of the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands with WAN port download traffic in a single location at 15 feet, showed concurrent Wi-Fi and WAN speeds topping twice that of other major brands at more than 900Mbps and network download speeds at almost double the competition. For consumers, this translates to more consistent network speeds and an ability to download and stream content without sacrificing the speed or quality of either activity.
