Barnes & Noble Launches B&W Touchscreen Nook
In an obvious bid to compete with Amazon, Barnes & Noble has made plans to serve up a low-cost Nook of their own with touchscreen capabilities. Available from June 10th onwards, the new black and white Nook is said to be affordably priced at US$139, which also happens to be the current retail price of Amazon's latest Kindle Wi-Fi model.
The New York Times - The lighter, slimmer, cheaper new version of Barnes & Noble's e-reader has a black-and-white touch screen and aims squarely at the "grandma" demographic — or at least customers craving a simpler e-book reader.
