Bang & Olufsen launches the BeoPlay S8, a music streaming speaker that oozes design appeal.

Two things you can always expect from a Bang & Olufsen product: quality sound, and fantastic minimalistic design, and you’ll find both on full display with the new BeoPlay S8. Inspired by the popular BeoLab 14, The BeoPlay S8 shares a similar subwoofer design, but is slimmer and sleeker. The speaker bodies are crafted from single pieces of aluminium to give the BeoPlay S8 great acoustic stability, precision, and overall solidity. While applying a pearl-blasting process to the aluminium gives it a sleek uninterrupted finish.

The sound signature of the Beoplay S8 is undoubtedly Bang & Olufsen; no tweaks or over-emphasised elements, just good clean, honest sound. The 8-inch subwoofer is powered by a dedicated 280W class D amplifier, allowing it to handle the frequency range 20-150Hz with ease, while the satellite speakers each feature 2.5-inch full range speaker drivers that are powered by a 140 Watt class D amplifier, with individual equalization, making each unit a truly active stereo system.

The Beoplay S8 is available now from the Bang & Olufsen Grand Hyatt Singapore Showroom, for S$2,200.
