Singapore, 26th October 2010 --- Avira, a global provider of antivirus software and IT security solutions for consumers and businesses is officially making its waves into Singapore. This is announced in its inaugural press conference in Singapore which was held at Marina Bay Sands Hotel, today.
Following its first international subsidiary setup in Malaysia last year, Avira is now eyeing to further intensify its global expansion by officially introducing its products to the Singaporeans.
"Avira has been built to protect everyone who uses the Web - and that's just about everyone. And we are proud to offer our flagship products, Avira AntiVir Premium and Avira Premium Security Suite to the Singaporeans," said Mr. Richard Yamamoto, Vice President for Asia Pacific Region of Avira.
"We are proud to say that Avira has achieved to be an antivirus provider to exceed expectations and meet consumer demands by identifying most of the ongoing threats, as proven by the independent tests carried out by AV-Comparatives which confirm that Avira has super-fast scanning speed, highest detection rates, and zero impact on the system," added Mr. Richard Yamamoto.
"Prior to this, we have also participated in the local IT tradeshows in Singapore, The PC Show and COMEX which were held recently, and we have received an overwhelming response despite we have not officially introduced our products in Singapore. Thus, we will continue our effort in using these venues to offer our flagship products to the public. Besides, Singaporeans can also visit the local IT malls such as Sim Lim Square to purchase our products."
