ASUS Unveils US$149 MeMO Pad
We saw that coming - an entry-level 7-inch tablet by ASUS. The Taiwanese company just announced the 7-inch tablet, the MeMO Pad which will be available in selected markets starting this month. Here's the list of its specs:
- Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
- VIA WM8950 1GHz processor with Mali-400 GPU
- 1GB RAM
- 7-inch LED-backlit display / 1024 x 600 pixels
- 1MP BSI front camera with f/2.0 aperture, 720p video recording at 30fps

- 5GB free ASUS WebStorage

ASUS is not the only manufacturer to launch affordable 7-inch tablets. Acer announced its entry-level 7-inch Jelly Bean tablet, the Iconia B1-A71 last week at CES 2013. Similar to the MeMO Pad, the Acer tablet is targeted at consumers looking for an affordable tablet.
