The ASUS Transformer Book T100, which was unveiled less than a year ago, has gotten a refresh. It now houses an updated Intel Atom Z3775 quad-core processor, allowing it to handle tasks more quickly and operate more smoothly.
Similar to the first generation T100, the updated version comes with a 10.1-inch display at a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels with capacitive multi-touch function. ASUS boasts a wide 178-degree viewing angle, and incorporates a Reading Mode to make it easier to read for extended periods of time.
The standalone tablet can be used on its own running Windows 8.1 (32-bit), or attached to the keyboard dock to convert into a compact laptop. It comes with 2GB of RAM, 32GB eMMC and a 500GB HDD. Pre-installed software include Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013, with full versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote, so users can get to work almost right out of the box.
The new ASUS Transformer Book T100 retails for S$599 and is available from today.
Update July 18:
The ASUS Transformer Book T100 will be available from tomorrow July 19 in two more colors: white and red. The white model will be available at all authorized ASUS authorized stores while the red model will be a Best Denki exclusive. All colors retail at S$599.
