ASUS Rolling Out Android 4.1 OTA Update for PadFone 2

Less than two months after its official launch, ASUS finally rolls out the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update for the PadFone 2. According to Android Community, users in multiple countries such as Hong Kong and Japan have received the over-the-air (OTA) updates. At point of publication, we have yet to receive the OTA update on our review unit. The update brings along some new features such as: 

  • Android 4.1.1 
  • Improved USB Internet Sharing 
  • Improved audio quality
  • Enhanced camera's focus and photo quality features 
  • Optimal GPS function
  • ASUS Studio image editing feature 
  • PinPal, BuddyBuzz, and Floating Widget application
  • Optimal streaming quality for playback smoothness
  • Added Asus Quick Settings function

The ASUS PadFone 2 is one of the best Android smartphones in the market with its 4.7-inch Super IPS+ display, Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 quad-core 1.5GHz processor, 2GB RAM, 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera and LTE capability.
