ASUS has just announced the local availability of its ROG Maximus V Formula motherboard, based on the Intel Z77 Express chipset, with its exclusive Fusion Thermo hybrid water and air-cooled heatsink for the CPU VRM components.
We first witnessed the board in action at Computex 2012 and we are pleased that it has reached our sunny shores. The board comes in two models; the first version features the ROG Maximus V Formula board by itself while the Maximus V Formula/ThunderFX SKU is shipped with the board and a bundled ThunderFX external audio device. The ThunderFX acts as a headphone amplifier with noise cancellation technology. The ROG Maximus V Formula motherboard has a SRP of S$459 and the Maximus V Formula/ThunderFX version has a SRP of S$549. Hence, the ThunderFX external audio device is worth S$100 and is exclusively available with the latter SKU.
