ASUS reveals two AMD FM2+ gaming boards

ASUS has just announced two FM2+ gaming motherboards based on the top-end AMD A88X chipset. The Republic of Gamers Crossblade Ranger is the first FM2+ board from the prestigious series; while the A88X-Gamer is meant for the PC gamers who need a high-end AMD A88X-based system and eschew exclusive ROG features.

The ROG Crossblade Ranger is a top-end FM2+ board to showcase high-end ROG features that include:-

The board features an 8 + 2 phase power delivery solution, and it supports overclocked DDR3 memory modules that are rated higher than the DDR3-2133 ones, which are officially supported by AMD A-series Kaveri APUs. The Crossblade Ranger has a ROG extension connector that allows you to install the ROG Front Base for further system customization. Its price and availability are still kept under wraps.

The A88X-Gamer is a high-end gaming board that features the SupremeFX onboard audio system. Like the ROG Crossblade Ranger, it has an Intel Gigabit network controller that is supposedly able to guarantee efficiency and better throughput. It has Guardian components that offer short circuit and overcurrent protection for connection ports and DRAM. The board has exclusive Digi+ VRM components to drive a 6 + 2 phase power system. It is currently available for S$169.
