ASUS to Release Android 3.2 Update to All Tablet Devices

SINGAPORE - ASUS announces today that it will be providing the Google Android 3.2 updates to all its Eee Pad tablet devices. Once again, ASUS leads the market for the Google Android 3.2 update service. ASUS Eee Pad users will get to enjoy this updated operating system first.

This Firmware Over-the-Air (FOTA) upgrade for all its tablet devices will be released on a market by market basis which will include the Android 3.2 update. ASUS Eee Pad users will receive a notification on their Eee Pads starting from 28 July 2011 and this online firmware update can be done in just a few steps.

New Features, More Functionality

The Google Android 3.2 includes a variety of optimization to ensure great user experience. With the update, users can now use the keyboard dock touchpad in the same way as the multi-touch display. The Google Android 3.2 also introduces a new compatibility zoom mode that gives users a new way to view fixed-sized apps that are not designed to run on larger screen sizes.

With Android 3.2, users can look forward to improvements in the UI, connectivity to various USB accessories, as well as updates to standards apps.
