ASUS and StarHub has collaborated to bring ASUS's PadFone and PadFone Station exclusively to StarHub from 2 June.
The 4.3-inch PadFone is an Android Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone which transforms into a 10.1-inch Android ICS tablet offering up to 64 hours of battery life. Powered by a dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, the PadFone is equipped with an 8-megapixel digital camera with a Fuji image processor, and ASUS SonicMaster technology to deliver outstanding audio through the PadFone Station's built-in speakers.
Featuring the Dynamic Display technology which allows a smooth transition between standalone and docked modes, users can connect the PadFone to the PadFone Station while, say, in the midst of creating an email. The email app will simply adjust automatically, displaying more information such as the list of emails in your inbox, on the PadFone Station's 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 large screen. The PadFone provides all of the PadFone Station's processing power and storage when the two are docked, which means that your last used photos, documents, and games are kept up to date and available as and when you require them.
Also available is the optional Bluetooth stylus headset, which users can use to draw and write and when docked, pick up calls effortlessly. The PadFone Station comes with its own keyboard dock, the PadFone Station Dock, which houses its own battery that charges the PadFone for up to 102 hours of use, and includes additional USB ports and card reader.
The ASUS PadFone retails at S$800 without contract. Customers who want to purchase the PadFone Station can just top up S$328. Accessories including the PadFone Station Dock and the PadFone Stylus Headset are priced at S$228 and S$128 respectively. The PadFone and its accessories will be available at all StarHub shops and authorized dealers starting 2 June. StarHub customers who pre-order the PadFone with the PadFone Station from now till 31 May will get the PadFone Station Dock and PadFone Stylus Headset for free.
