ASUS Offers Free External GPS Extension Kit for Transformer Prime
ASUS Offers Free External GPS Extension Kit for Transformer Prime
On the chance that you've been using the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime as a GPS device, but failed to do so due to poor signal reception, here's some good news. ASUS will be offering users of the Eee Pad Transformer Prime a free external GPS extension kit to boost the signal reception for the Android 4.0 tablet.
Since its launch in December 2011, the Transformer Prime has received issue reports from customers, citing its GPS capabilities to be lackluster with poor reception in various situations. ASUS has confirmed the issue, and talk of the company providing a GPS dongle to rectify the issue is now confirmed with this free extension kit.
To redeem the dongle, customers should visit http://event.asus.com/ASUSPad/TF201GPS and sign up for the redemption program. This will require you to sign up for an ASUS Membership program, following which you'll have to register your Transformer Prime. Once registered, click on GPS Extension Kit Apply & Inquire, enter your Transformer Prime's serial number and fill in the field for delivery information and you're all set.
Do note that the offer is only valid till 31st July 2012.
