ASUS launches ROG Strix Wireless gaming headphones
ASUS announced the launch of their ASUS ROG Strix Wireless, the latest wireless gaming headphones that uses 2.4GHz wireless technology via a dual-antenna design. It has a rechargeable 900mAh battery, which enables uninterrupted usage for 10 hours, or more.
According to ASUS, the dual-antenna design within the ROG Strix Wireless gaming headphones allows for a stable, interference-free connection up to 15m range. The headset boasts low-latency transmission, thanks to its 2.4GHz wireless connection. Of course, users of the ROG Strix Wireless would need a free USB port on their gaming machine to enjoy 2.4GHz wireless playtime.
ASUS included Sonic Studio software within the ROG Strix Wireless, and that gives the headset 7.1-channel virtual surround sound. The audio technology is also said to provide an immersive gaming experience, while it enables the more competitive gamers to accurately orientate themselves using audio cues. Players who have unique audio preferences will also enjoy Sonic Studio’s equalization controls.
The ASUS ROG Strix Wireless is compatible across multiple platforms, specifically the PC, Mac, or PlayStation 4 console. For wired connections, it comes with a combined 3.5mm four-pole audio and microphone adapter, and a 1.5m Y-cable extension to support connectivity to the Xbox One. Smartphones and tablets are also supported via wired connectivity.
The ASUS ROG Strix Wireless gaming headphones is available at S$199 via official retailers.
