ASUS will be launching a new high-speed router called the RT-AC86U at Comex 2017, which takes place later this week.

The RT-AC86U is a dual-band router powered by a speedy 1.86 GHz dual-core processor and has an AC2900 speed rating.

Thanks to NitroQAM technology, maximum data transfer rates on the RT-AC86U's 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks are 750Mbps and 2,166Mbps respectively.

The RT-AC86U comes with a single Gigabit Ethernet WAN port and four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports. It also has a USB 3.0 port and a USB 2.0 port.

The RT-AC86U supports ASUS' suite of networking technologies and features including AiProtection, an integrated router security feature, and RangeBoost, which purportedly increases performance at longer ranges.

Gamers will be happy to know that the RT-AC86U comes with built-in WTFast Game Accelerator, which claims to reduce latency and ping times by as much as 60% to 90%, and also Adaptive QoS, which prioritizes game traffic during heavy traffic loads.

The ASUS RT-AC86U router will go on sale this Thursday at Comex 2017. The suggested retail price is S$399, but you'll be able to get it at Comex for S$299.
