ASUS Introduces New Transformer Pad Series at Computex 2014

Aside from the new MeMO Pad and FonePad devices, ASUS also took the opportunity to introduce two new Transformer Pad tablets at Computex 2014. Similar to the other devices announced today, the Transformer Pad tablets run on the 64-bit Intel Atom Z3745 quad-core processors with clock speeds of up to 1.86GHz.

ASUS equips the two new Transformer Pad devices with a new mobile keyboard (optional) that has a hidden hinge design. The keyboard has ergonomic chiclet keys with 1.9mm of key travel, and includes intuitive one-touch function keys for common tasks like Delete or Screen Grab.

The Transformer Pad TF103C is the lower-end model of the two; it has a 10.1-inch HD (1,280 x 800 pixels) IPS display and dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n with integrated GPS/GLONASS. The tablet itself weighs as heavy as the new mobile keyboard at 550g.

As the higher-end variant, the Transformer Pad TF303CL obviously boasts better specs such as a 10.1-inch Full-HD (1,920 x 1,200 pixels) IPS display and dual front speakers with SonicMaster technology. Moreover, it also supports LTE CAT 4 speeds of up to 150Mbps, making it a good mobile companion for consumers who want to stay connected on the move. It is heavier at 595g.
