ASUS Features USB 3.0-Certified Motherboards for Intel 7-Series Chipsets

ASUS has announced that it is the only motherboard manufacturer currently offering USB 3.0-certified motherboards for Intel 7-Series chipsets. With the certification, ASUS USB 3.0 certified motherboards provide users assured compatibility and stability, in addition to SuperSpeed USB, which brings significant performance enhancements to the ubiquitous USB standard and remains compatible with the billions of USB enabled devices currently deployed in the market.

Stricter testing procedures

To qualify for USB 3.0 certification, a motherboard is subjected to over 180 strict tests and must pass each one, some of which include: signal quality, interoperability, stress testing, compatibility and transmission speeds. With a better layout design and high quality connectors and chips, ASUS USB 3.0 certified motherboards better recognize signals from the USB 3.0 device, even under distress. In addition, USB 3.0 certified motherboards are required to pass compatibility testing by thirty-six different devices, including printers, external drives, video cameras, mice and headsets, to ensure users have the widest range of products possible.

ASUS exclusive USB 3.0 UAS Protocol

ASUS also leads the industry in motherboard features and design, with the exclusive ASUS USB 3.0 Boost that accelerates USB 3.0 transmission speeds up to 1.7 times faster. It gives users the world’s first USB 3.0 UASP support for significant time savings when moving large files such as HD videos and system back-ups.
