While the Eee Pad Transformer Prime runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box, original Transformer users may have to exercise a little patience when waiting for the Android 4.0 update for their tablets.

According to ASUS North America Facebook Page, the Android 4.0 update is currently in process of being approved by Google. Once Google gives the go-ahead, ASUS will then roll out the Firmware Over-The-Air (FOTA).

Based on ASUS's track record of delivering firmware updates for its tablets, users may receive the FOTA earlier than its stated release in February. The software update is expected to come along with a few bug fixes too.
