The Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Concept could well be the prettiest car of 2016
Do you find Mondays too dreary? Here's something to perk you up.
Aston Martin has teamed up once more with legendary Italian coachbuilder Zagato to create a concept car. And here it is in all its glory, meet the Vanquish Zagato Concept.
As you might have guessed, this concept is based on Aston Martin's Vanquish, but has been thoroughly reworked to incorporate Zagato's signature design language and other bits from Aston Martin's garage.
The wing mirrors are clearly inspired by Aston Martin's bonkers One-77 hypercar, while the tail lights with "bladed" LED technology looks like the ones we have seen on the track special Aston Martin Vulcan.
Despite being a concept, Aston Martin has fitted the Vanquish Zagato Concept with a working engine. It gets a V12 obviously, the same as the one in Vanquish, but has been tweaked to produce slightly more power - 592hp to be exact.
Aston Martin hasn't published any performance figures, but the standard Vanquish is capable of a 0-100km/h sprint in just 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of 324km/h. This new Vanquish Zagato Concept shouldn't be too far off from this mark.
And even though Aston Martin hasn't comment if this car would be put into production, we are thinking that it just might.
Aston Martin famously decided to put the V12 Zagato into production following strong demand from its customers.
And looking at how great the Vanquish Zagato Concept looks, we would be surprised if hardcore Aston Martin customers didn't clamor for one.
