ASRock Announces A-Style Purity Sound for its Next Gen 8-Series Motherboards

ASRock has announced its new onboard audio solution A-Style, featuring Purity Sound, for its upcoming 8-series motherboards that support Intel 'Haswell' processors. Powered by a Realtek ALC1150 audio chip, together with two onboard amplifiers, A-Style even touts support for high impedance headphones!

According to the company, Purity Sound is a combination of hardware and software technologies that enhanced the onboard Realtek ALC1150 audio chip and a pair of TI NE5532 amplifiers, one is a differential amplifier and the other one is a premium headset amplifier with support for high-impedance headphones. A-Style also boasts of an EMI shielding cover as well as PCB shielding to block off electromagnetic fields (EMFs) from other onboard components in order to reduce audio distortion.

Delivering high-end aural experience isn't new to ASRock as its X79 Extreme 11 board features a Creative Sound Core3D audio processor. ASRock claims that the audio processor works together with its Premium Headset Amplifier (PHA) to support up to 250-ohm high-end headsets.
