Archos introduces the Child Pad.
A 7-inch Android tablet meant for children, the Child Pad is driven by a 1GHz processor with 1GB of RAM and operates on the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich platform. Featuring a kid-friendly UI with colored icons, home screen folders with direct access to games and puzzles, it comes pre-loaded with kids' apps such as Angry Birds, Pig Rush, and Flight Frenzy.
In addition, it provides access to the Kids App Store powered by AppsLib, which covers 14-friendly categories and 10,000 apps including (but not limited to) games, multimedia, and sports. On top of that, the Child Pad is equipped with parental controls and safe web browsing.
Priced at US$129, the Child Pad will be available in stores from the end of March.
