Apple has long been rumored to be working on a health and fitness app and this app could become reality soon. Called Healthbook, the app is said to highly resemble Passbook and will able to keep track of and analyze your daily activities and even your heart rate and blood oxygen levels.

Although Apple's M7 co-processor will come in handy for keeping track of a number of parameters, it is unclear how Healthbook will be able to analyze blood work - presumably a separate device will be required, possibly the rumored iWatch.

According to reports, Healthbook could be announced at Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference later this year and could debut with iOS 8. However, some feel that there is a possibility that Healthbook will not come to pass at all and could be scrapped.
