If you are hoping that Apple will create a hybrid between a Mac and an iPad, we're sorry to bring you the bad news - it's not happening anytime soon!

According to the Independent.IE, Apple CEO Tim Cook revealed during an interview that customers are not looking for "a converged Mac and iPad". Cook went on to explain that such converged products do not deliver the kind of experience that customers want.

Independent.IE - "We feel strongly that customers are not really looking for a converged Mac and iPad," Cook said. "Because what that would wind up doing, or what we're worried would happen, is that neither experience would be as good as the customer wants. So we want to make the best tablet in the world and the best Mac in the world. And putting those two together would not achieve either. You'd begin to compromise in different ways."

Despite declining sales of the iPads, Cook remained optimistic that there is still a future for tablets. He shared that the 12.9-inch iPad Pro has become his main work horse when he is on-the-go alongside his iPhone. Having reviewed the iPad Pro, we are on Cook's side although the tablet and its accessories are probably going to cost any one an arm and a leg.
