Besides having to deal with "hissing" sounds from the new iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, some users experienced an annoying issue with the Lightning EarPods.

Apparently, users who left the EarPods plugged into the iPhone 7 for a few minutes could not use the volume controls when the music continued to play. This means that they are unable to adjust the volume, activate Siri or answer any incoming calls. It is not known whether this software bug affects third-party Lightning earphones.

For now, the temporary fix would be to unplug the EarPods and plug them in again. An Apple spokesperson reportedly told Business Insider that the issue will be fixed in a future software update.
