Apple Watch 2 rumored to retain screen size, resolution and shape

The Apple Watch has just been launched in the second wave of countries yet rumors are already focusing on its successor.

According to Korean news site Naver, the Apple Watch 2 will sport the same screen size, resolution and shape as the Apple Watch. This means that we are looking at a 1.32-inch OLED screen (272 x 340 pixels) for the 38mm model and a 1.5-inch OLED screen (312 x 390 pixels) for the 42mm model.

Contrary to the report by Korean publication MKNews, LG Display will not be the sole supplier of panels for the next Apple Watch. Samsung is said to be joining LG in producing flexible OLED panels for the wearable which is expected to be launched next year.

The Apple Watch 2 is rumored to come with a FaceTime camera, more Wi-Fi capabilities and more variations between US$1,000 and US$10,000. If you want to find out more about the Apple Watch, do check out our review article here.
