Mark your calendar! Sources told AllThingsD that Apple will be unveiling the next iPhone at a special event on 10 September. In addition, Apple is also expected to launch the next version of Mac OS X (Mavericks) in the coming weeks.

Apple is rumored to be launching two iPhone models - the iPhone 5S and a more affordable model. Jeffries analyst Peter Misek claims that the iPhone 5S will sport a new super HD camera and screen, a better battery, near-field-communication (NFC), 128GB storage and comes in 6 to 8 colors.

Photos and reports of a more affordable iPhone model have surfaced all over the Internet, with The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, DigiTimes and Reuters having information from their sources that Apple is indeed working on one.

If you recall, Apple took the wraps off the iPhone 5 last year on 12 September and sales of the phone started on 21 September. Keep your eyes peeled to HardwareZone for more updates.
