Apple TV 4 to come with 8/16GB storage, runs iOS 9 and lacks 4K video streaming?

After postponing the launch of new TV hardware at WWDC 2015, Apple seems ready to make an official announcement next week as 9to5Mac gathered more information on the new products.

According to its sources, the fourth generation Apple TV will come in 8GB and 16GB storage options. The 8GB model reportedly costs US$149 while the higher capacity model will be priced at US$199. 9to5Mac does not rule out the possibility of the 16GB model being launched alone at US$149.

While there are rumors of an App Store for the new Apple TV, the limited storage options should not be a concern as content outside of the apps are said to be streamed directly from the web. In addition, it will run an iOS 9 core where app file sizes are smaller than what they are today.

The touch-based remote will take on a dark gray/black tone and is made of metal. There will also be a pair of tactile buttons (for Siri and the Home Button) below the touchpad. Besides having the same ports as the current Apple TV, the new Apple TV will not support 4K video streaming.
