Just as it has predicted, Apple has hit another new first-weekend record for the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.

According to Apple, it has sold more than 13 million units of the new iPhones in the first three days of availability. Compared to last year's iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, Apple managed to sell more than three million units! The new iPhones went on sale last weekend in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Singapore, the U.K and the U.S.

Apple - “Sales for iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have been phenomenal, blowing past any previous first weekend sales results in Apple’s history,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “Customers’ feedback is incredible and they are loving 3D Touch and Live Photos, and we can’t wait to bring iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus to customers in even more countries on October 9.”

Sales of the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are expected to increase dramatically as they will be available in more than 40 countries from 9th October. Consumers in India, Malaysia and Turkey can purchase the new iPhones from 16th October. Apple aims to sell the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus in 130 countries by the end of 2015.
