Apple Ramps Up iPad Production for the Holidays

The holiday season is coming and it is no surprise that Apple products are highly sought after gift items. So in order to satisfy demand, Apple and its manufacturing partner Foxconn has ramped up production of iPads. Presently, it is estimated that Foxconn ships about 2.5 million iPads monthly. With its new increased capacity, it is likely that they could ship as many as 3 million.

9to5 Mac - Apple’s iPad production is nearing three million units every month in the lead-in to Christmas, with manufacturing partner, Foxconn, opening aditional capacity in its new plants in Chengdu, China.

The new production lines are limited at present, churning out 10,000 iPads each day, but the capacity has been bought onstream to satisfy demand, Digitimes reports.
