Apple may delay launch of new iPhones to Oct or Nov
Since the iPhone 5, Apple has always launched new iPhones in September every year. However, this year's iPhone models might be launched later than usual.
The Economic Daily News claims that "technical issues related to the lamination process of curved OLED panels, and the adoption of a 3D sensing system may cause the delay of the new iPhone devices". As a result, Apple may delay the launch of the iPhones to October or November.
Japanese blog Macotakara reported last month that Apple might need more time for testing and sourcing materials as it was still testing glass, ceramic and aluminum designs with LCD and OLED panels. As such, the iPhone Edition (also known as the premium model) might not be available for purchase at the same time as the iPhone 7s and 7s Plus.
