Apple to introduce two new screen sizes for the iPhone 9 next year?

Apple is said to be increasing the display sizes of its iPhone models next year.

According to Korean publication The Bell, an industry source claimed that the iPhone 9 would be available in two display sizes (5.28 and 6.46-inches). Both models are also believed to sport OLED displays. Apparently, Samsung had signed a non-disclosure agreement with Apple on general conditions including the screen sizes although these specs might change as the phone is still under development.

The iPhone is currently available in three display sizes; the iPhone SE has a 4-inch display while the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus have display sizes of 4.7-inches and 5.5-inches respectively. Apple is widely expected to introduce a 5.8-inch OLED model, the iPhone 8 later this year while the iPhone 7s and 7s Plus should be using LCD panels. The Bell also reported in March that the full transition to OLED panels for the iPhones would occur in 2019.
