Apple could equip the iPhone 7 Plus with 3GB RAM and waterproof feature

The Apple iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are in the market for less than two months and we are now hearing rumors about their successors.

According to research firm TrendForce, Apple will equip the iPhone 7 Plus with 3GB RAM and waterproof feature. Having said that, it is unlike of Apple to bump up the RAM two years in a row for the iPhone considering that it usually deliberates on specs upgrades for its iPhones.

As for the waterproof feature, it does sound plausible as iFixit reported during the teardown of the iPhone 6s/6s Plus that Apple has used a waterproofing material on every cable connector on the phone's motherboard. Although Apple did not publicly state this waterproof feature, numerous YouTube videos show that the iPhone 6s/6s Plus surviving the water test without any damage.
