Apple contributes to World AIDS Day with new (RED) products and content

There are four new (RED) products showcasing Apple's support for World AIDS Day 2016.

In honor of World AIDS Day, Apple will help contribute via their (RED) activities with four new (RED) Apple products, offering limited-edition (RED) in-app content with app-making partners, and partially donating revenue generated from Apple Pay on Apple.com or the Apple Store app from today to 6th December 2016. The money will go to The Global Fund, a nonprofit organization that combats AIDS and HIV.

The four new (RED) Apple products are their iPhone 7 Smart Battery Case, iPhone SE Case, Beats Solo 3 Wireless On-Ear Headphones, and the Pill+ Portable Speaker, all which are available for sale. The existing (RED) product lineup remains available for sale.

In addition to new gadgets, Apple is offering limited-edition, custom-made (RED) in-app content within popular App Store games. The 20 participating games include Angry Birds 2, Angry Birds POP!, Best Fiends, Best Fiends Forever, Boom Beach, Candy Crush Jelly Saga, Clash of Clans, Clash Royale, CSR2, Episode, Farm Heroes Saga, FarmVille: Tropic Escape, FIFA Mobile, Hay Day, MARVEL Contest of Champions, PewDiePie’s Tuber Simulator, Plants vs. Zombies Heroes, SimCity BuildIt, War Dragons and YAHTZEE With Buddies.

Finally, Apple will also donate US$1 to the (RED) mission for every purchase made using Apple Pay on apple.com, or the Apple Store app. It’s capped at a total of US$1 million in donations.

Apple’s efforts contributed a total of US$120 million to The Global Fund, which accounts for one-third of all contributions The Global Fund received since its inception in 2002.
