Aorus Announces X3 Series of Gaming Notebooks, Packs 3K Display on 13.9-inch X3 Plus

Just last week, Aorus had announced that it upgraded its X7 gaming notebook with NVIDIA GTX 860M SLI graphics. Now, the company is launching its second gaming notebook, the X3. Sporting a IGZO QHD+ panel, the X3 has two display options: the X3 with a 13.3-inch display, and the X3 Plus with a 13.9-inch display.

Tipping the scales at 1.87kg, the X3 packs NVIDIA GeForce GTX 870M graphics, a pair of 512GB NGFF M.2 SSDs in lightning RAID 0, and two memory slots allowing a maximum capacity at 16GB DDR3L 1,600Hz SDRAM, into a 22.9mm thin chassis. It integrates dual vents, dual thermal pipes, and dual fans, to ensure optimal cooling and stability while you game.

The X3 comes standard with a 13.3-inch, 2,560 x 1,440 resolution display, while the X3 Plus comes with either a 13.9-inch QHD 2,560 x 1,440 or an anti-glare QHD+ 3,200 x 1,800 resolution panel. 72% NTSC color gamut produces clear images with color accuracy, and 400 nits of brightness enables readability even outdoors or in brightly lit rooms.

Thanks to a built-in Mini DisplayPort, the X3 is has the ability to output to an external display for an ultra-high resolution up to 4K at 60Hz. Aorus's Customizable Macro Engine lets you record your killer combos into a one-click execution keys; its scissor-key structure provides speedy response and tactile feedback. Also, its backlit keyboard comes with adjustable lighting.

Incorporating the advanced Killer LAN chip and Intel 802.11ac, the X3 optimizes network connection quality, prioritizes gaming sessions for online gaming with minimal latency, and brings extended coverage and stronger throughput.
