Angry Bird on Android Free, Hits 1 Million Download Mark

Is there no stopping those Angry Birds in their vengeance against the egg-snatching pigs? Seems like its developers, Rovio Mobile, has made a wise decision to put Angry Birds up on the Google Android Market for free. Even before that, the bird-tossing game has been available for download via GetJar.com, and has hit the 1 million download mark.

Gizmodo - Android users were able to get their first crack at the additive Angry Birds game this weekend and they're just as crazy for the game as their iPhone counterparts. How crazy? One million downloads in a day crazy. Free helps.

With these numbers, it's safe to say that the Android presence is growing ever stronger. And with the upcoming updates via its Gingerbread and Honeycomb versions, Google's Android platform can be a sight to behold, with the right apps as we've seen from the Angry Birds phenomenon.
