Another day, another report about the increasing influence and growth of Google's Android mobile operating system. One of the last remaining independent mobile ad firms, Millennial Media has released a new report showing that Android devices have grabbed 37% of ad impressions on its network, the same amount as Apple's iOS devices.
Ars Technica - With Quattro Wireless snapped up by Apple and AdMob now under Google's wing, Millennial Media is one of the largest independent mobile ad firms. The company's data for October reveals that iPhones and Android-based devices both grabbed 37 percent of ad impressions from its network. BlackBerrys were responsible for another 20 percent, while Windows Mobile, Symbian, and a smattering of other platforms fought for the remaining 6 percent.
