An update to Android 5.1 Lollipop is now available for owners of the LG G Flex2.

Users can look forward to things like a revamped Quick Settings panel with animated icons that respond to touch. It’s also become easier to switch between Wi-Fi access points and Bluetooth devices as you no longer need to go into the Settings menu to do it. Instead, these options are accessible via a dropdown arrow located next to the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings in the notification shade.

In addition, Device Protection on Android 5.1 will prevent a thief from using your device in the event that it is lost or stolen. Your phone will remain locked until you sign in with your Google account, even after doing a factory reset.

Other changes include tweaks to the volume slider and interruptions system. The “None” and “Priority” modes in the interruptions system now allow users to implement specific time frames for them to be in effect. This could come in handy for things like meetings and movies, and users need not manually re-enable notifications after that.

Current G Flex2 owners can expect to receive the new version of Android via an OTA update.
