Android 4.1.1 and Sense 4+ Update Available for HTC One S

 The HTC One S.

As promised back in July, HTC has begun rolling out the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean and Sense 4+ over-the-air (OTA) update for the One S. Not all devices will be receiving the update at the same time. To check whether the update is available on your One S, go to Settings > About > Software updates.

This comes slightly less than a week after the One XL received the update. You can expect significant improvements to the One S such as faster navigation and an enhanced camera interface. You can check out the new features in our review of the HTC One X+.

HTC is actively reviewing its product portfolio to identify models to receive the Android 4.1 update. At point of publication, its aim is to prioritize review for devices launched in 2012 with global carrier partners and then consider its ability to provide updates for products from 2011. Generally, HTC devices with 512MB RAM or less will not be upgraded to Android 4.1, which will include the HTC One V.
