Concerns about Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich not getting Adobe Flash support were finally allayed after Adobe mentioned to Pocket-lint that Flash will be coming to the newest OS platform by the end of 2011. However, it will be the last supported Android OS for Adobe Flash.

Pocket-lint - "Adobe will release one more version of the Flash Player for mobile browsing, which will provide support for Android 4.0, and one more release of the Flash Linux Porting Kit - both expected to be released before the end of this year," a company spokesperson told us.

As for existing versions of Flash, Adobe has promised to continue providing patches and security updates. Moving forward, Google has to shift to HTML 5 support for future Android versions.
