AMD unveils three new desktop processors, revises pricing for other processors

 New AMD processors

AMD is a launching three new FM2+ desktop processors - two A-series processors and a single Athlon X4 processor.

The A10-7860K is a fairly high-end new Godavari processor that boosts to an amazing 4GHz. It features four Steamroller cores and 8 GPU cores and has a TDP of 65W. This will sit just below the top-end A10-7870K model and it will also use AMD's new 95W Thermal Solution cooler, which is almost as quiet as the new Wraith cooler and replaces the stock coolers on some of AMD's select processors.

The A6-7470K, on the other hand, is a more entry-level A-series APU that offers two Steamroller cores, four GPU cores, but still boosts to an impressive 4GHz, and has a base clock speed of 3.7GHz.

The Athlon X4 845 is a mainstream quad-core CPU that has four Excavator cores and runs at 3.5GHz and boosts to 3.8GHz. Like the A10-7860K, the Athlon X4 845 will come with AMD's new 95W Quiet Thermal Solution cooler.
