AMD is slashing the recommended retail price of its Radeon Nano graphics card by almost a quarter of its original launch price (US$649)! The mini-ITX Radeon Nano graphics card was launched in late August 2015. It was touted as a game changer as the card features the AMD Fiji GPU and has 4GB of HBM video memory. When compared against the Radeon R9 290X, the Radeon Nano was supposedly 30%, and this was achieved with a lower power draw. Despite its diminutive stature, it is capable of delivering 4K gaming experience. However, its exorbitant launch price meant its appeal was limited to gamers with deep pockets. Prior to the announcement, the local retail price of the card is slightly over a thousand dollars at S$1,039.

So given the recommended 25% discount, we estimated the new retail price to be approximately S$799. Our avid HWZ forum members have already sussed out some Radeon R9 Nano deals, and one such deal is offered by online retail store Newegg. Its offer price is quite close to our estimated retail price. So for AMD fans who are still looking to build their SFF 4K gaming rig, this might just be the catalyst to speed up your purchase decision. And here’s a list of Radeon Nano cards from AMD’s add-in card partners for your consideration.
