AMD R9 290X Graphics Cards from Add-In Card Partners Available Now

The following add-in card partners have announced their AMD R9 290X graphics cards. First on the list is the PowerColor R9 290X 4GB GDDR5 OverClocked. The local version comes bundled with Battlefield 4 PC game title, and is available in limited quantities at a recommended retail price of S$818. According to their official distributor, Ban Leong Technologies, the cards have arrived and should be available at authorized retailers by next week.

The other card for consideration is the Sapphire R9 290X 4GB GDDR5. There are two variants; one comes bundled with the same PC game title of Battlefield 4, and the other doesn't. The SAP-R9-290X-4G has a recommended price of S$749 (without game bundle) and the SAP-R9290X-BF4 costs S$799, only S$51 more with the game bundle. The local distributor of Sapphire cards, Convergent Systems, has set up a landing page for interested parties to place their pre-orders. Following which, customers will be able to pick up their cards from Sim Lim Square retailers by early November.

To round things for now, ASUS has announced the R9 290X graphics card. Like Sapphire, there are two variants as well; the ASUS R9290X-G-4GD5 (SRP: S$899) is bundled with Battlefield 4, and the ASUS R9290X-4GD5 (SRP: S$879) comes without. The cards will be available by early November.

For fans of MSI, the company hasn't revealed the detailed specifications of their wares but we can fill in the gaps by extrapolating from details of the earlier cards. For a start, here is a composite picture of the two versions of the MSI R9 290X graphics card, just like some of the earlier R9 290X cards. Their price details are also not made known at this point.

According to the local distributor of Gigabyte products, CDL Trading, the R9 290X is currently not available; in its place, the R9 290-based graphics cards will be launched soon.

Club 3D has announced its Radeon R9 290X graphics card. For its limited edition version, the Club 3D Radeon R9 290X Battlefield 4 has a worldwide production run of only eight thousand. The Club 3D Radeon R9 290X is the same card without the game bundle. For now, there are no price details.
