"The journey of a piece of steel metal" may end up to be just plastic if the latest rumors turn out to be accurate.
According to Weibo user @iLevon, the Xiaomi's upcoming Mi 4 smartphone will sport a rear made up of plastic material that feels and looks like metal. This is somewhat similar to what LG did for the rear of the G3, which also has a brushed metallic appearance.
Contrary to the specs listed on Xiaomiworld.com, the Mi 4 appears to come with a 5-inch 1080p display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core 2.5GHz processor, a 13-megapixel rear camera and 16GB internal storage. Xiaomi is also said to debut its next generation MIUI V6 OS on the Mi 4.
Xiaomi is holding its annual product launch event tomorrow in Beijing where it is expected to launch the Mi 4, the Mi 3S, and upgraded variants of the Redmi and Redmi Note.
