Is this the Samsung Galaxy Note II that will be unveiled during Samsung Mobile Unpacked event on 29th August in Berlin? Well, a tipster sent GSMArena an alleged photo of the front panel of the device. As the tipster is unable to confirm the source of the image, it is recommended that you take this picture with a pinch of salt.

Aside from the image, the tipster informed GSMArena some of the specs of the Galaxy Note II which include a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, an Exynos 4 Quad processor clocked at 1.5GHz and an 8-megapixel camera sensor.

According to the tipster, Samsung tried to equip a full HD screen on the Note II, but concluded that it was draining the battery too quickly. The device is also said to launch with Android 4.0 as the company is still developing the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update.

Last but not least, the tipster claims that the Jelly Bean update for the Samsung Galaxy S III will be released alongside the Galaxy Note II at the event on 29th August. This is in line with what SamMobile has reported earlier that the flagship device will receive the Android 4.1 update by end of Q3.
