Alienware's arsenal grows as the Alienware 18 returns

The Alienware 18 will join the ranks of an elite class of gaming notebooks with its top of the line SLI graphics options.

PAX Prime hasn't even officially kicked off yet but Dell's already the first out of the starting gate with an announcement that it's bringing back its Alienware 18 gaming notebook due to demand from fans.

The new Alienware 18 looks to be a monster of a gaming rig, in the same vein as Aftershock's Titan V2.1 and MSI's GT80 2QE Titan SLI. It's an 18.4-inch 1080p gaming notebook, with the top of the line model equipped with an Intel Core i7-4940MX (3.1GHz, 8MB cache), 32GB RAM, 512GB SSD with a 1TB HDD and SLI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M. It's also packing an 86Wh battery and a DVD burner. It's on sale for US$4,649.99.

Note that all variations of the Alienware 18 are for the US only. There's no word from Dell yet whether any of them might make it to local shores.
