Aftershock unveils their new SM series of notebooks

Aftershock's newest SM series of notebooks packs the new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M.

Last week, saw the launches of the new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M and 950M cards. Not one to be beaten to the punch by their competitors, Aftershock's already has their first salvo of notebooks with the newest cards all lined and ready to go. In fact, the company even one step further, creating a whole new line just for the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M cards, the Aftershock SM series.

There'll be two different notebooks in the line, the SM-15 and the SM-17. The SM-15 is a 15.6 inch notebook, while the SM-17 is a 17.3 inch machine. One of their highlights is how incredibly lightweight they are, with the SM-15 weighing in only about 2.4KG and the bigger SM-17 coming in at around 2.9KG, if you opt not to get the optical drive.

The SM series will continue Aftershock's tradition of offering customization options, with various configurations available to suit buyers' needs.

Both notebooks are available right now from Aftershock's website (the SM-17 here, and the SM-15 here). Aftershock will also be at the upcoming IT show, which is being held this Thursday to Sunday, at Suntec City.
