After much anticipation, ASUS finally launches the Transformer Book Chi T300

The ASUS Transformer Book Chi T300 was first seen at Computex 2014.

ASUS has finally officially launched the Transformer Book Chi T300. This ultra-slim 2-in-1 convertible device was first seen at Computex 2014 - about 9 months ago. When we first saw it we were amazed at its slim dimensions and its beautiful all-aluminum chassis design.

When attached to the keyboard dock, the Transformer Book Chi T300 measures just 16.5mm thick and weighs a scant 1.42kg. The tablet display on its own is only 7.6mm thick and weighs just over 700g. Additionally, the touchscreen IPS display offers a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.

Inside, the Transformer Book Chi T300 is powered by Intel's newest dual-core Core M-5Y71 processor (1.2GHz, 4MB L3 cache), which is based on the new "Broadwell" architecture, and has 4GB RAM and a 128GB SSD, enabling the Transformer Book Chi T300 to adopt a fan-less chassis design, hence making it supremely thin and quiet.

Prices of the Transformer Book Chi T300 will begin at S$1,498.
