According to analytics company Mixpanel, adoption of iOS 10 has outpaced that of iOS 9.

iOS 10 was announced earlier this year at WWDC 2016 and is one of the biggest updates to iOS in recent times.

It includes a ton of new features, but most notably a thoroughly revamped iMessage app, third-party integration with Siri, and a reworked Music app. You can read more about the new features of iOS 10 here.

Mixpanel indicates that after 24 hours of availability, iOS 10 has now been installed on 14.5% of iOS devices.

Comparatively, iOS 9 was installed on roughly 12.6% of iOS devices 24 hours after it was made available.

What's also interesting from the graph is that a whopping 81.09% of iOS devices are running iOS 9, while only a scant 4.46% of devices were running an older version of iOS.

Android, in comparison, suffers from a fragmented userbase, with the various majority still stuck on Android 4.4 (Kitkat) and Android 5.x (Lollipop).

iOS 10 is available as a free update now, so get your iOS device updated if you haven't already.
